From brand logos to band logos, we sat down with Jamie Ellul and Jim K Davies to talk through Logo Rhythm, A 440+ page book that celebrates the overlooked art of band logos.
Jim questioned why album covers get all the praise but the humble band logo never quite got its full dues. Jim initiated the journey in 2017 through his blog, Brand Logo Jukebox. Through tireless efforts, he connected with band members, roadies, widows, and anyone linked to a band, unveiling the untold stories behind these visual symbols.
Jim partnered up with long-time friend, music lover and creative director & Founder at Supple Studio - Jamie Ellul, to build on his archive and together create the book, Logo Rhythm.
To bring this dream to life, they launched a Kickstarter campaign with a modest goal of £15,000. Astonishingly, the support surpassed all expectations, currently standing at an impressive £25,000.
