If you want to be a present parent AND have financial independence I can completely relate to you. I’ve always had a drive to be a mother, but I also wanted to be able to support myself. Most vividly I remember my grandmother telling me at the age of 10 that in my life, I would want to have my own money.

If you want to work the hours you choose, create time out of your business to be present with your children, and still make money (to contribute to your family financially and for yourself) I have 3 tips for you.

What You Need to Know:

• Know yourself well. Know what kind of balance you will want with your motherhood and running your own business.
• Know that this is YOUR choice.
• Know that you really can’t do it alone. You’ll need either help at home or help with your business.
