Satan is the Destroyer

 

8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

1 Peter 5:8

 

Satan is the destroyer, who targets your will with pride.

 

1 And Satan stood up against Israel, and provoked David to number Israel.

1 Chronicles 21:1

 

6 But Levi and Benjamin counted he not among them: for the king's word was abominable to Joab. 7 And God was displeased with this thing; therefore he smote Israel.

1 Chronicles 21:6-7

 

13 And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against the Lord.

You may never be more vulnerable, than when you're full of pride.

 

16 But when he was strong, his heart was lifted up to his destruction: for he transgressed against the Lord his God, and went into the temple of the Lord to burn incense upon the altar of incense.
