  • How would praying have helped prepare and protect them from those temptations?
  • What does Jesus’ prayer in this passage teach us about our prayer?
  • Consider your own prayer life for a moment and the things you pray for most often. Now, consider the type of prayer life that Jesus models for us and the type of prayer that Jesus urges the disciples to pray. Practice a prayer alone or with your family in light of this text. How does this differ from the ”usual” kind of praying?
