when i first started freelancing, it was tough to know how to price out the work i was doing. having grown up working more traditioinal jobs that pay based on an hourly rate, that was my natural way of pricing my freelance work. i quickly realized this wasn't a good way of working and so i transitioned to charging project rates. while i believe there some times where charing hourly rates makes sense, for the most part it doesn't.
