He received his BSBA in Finance (https://www.valpo.edu/college-of-business/academics/major-programs/finance/) and MS in International Commerce & Policy, both from Valparaiso University (https://www.valpo.edu/graduate-school/international-commerce-policy/). Back in Indiana, Robert was appointed by Mayor Jon Costas to the Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA) (https://www.ci.valparaiso.in.us/109/Board-of-Zoning-Appeals) and the Town & Gown Committee (https://www.ci.valparaiso.in.us/123/Town-Gown-Committee) for the City of Valparaiso. He volunteered and sat on the board of Hilltop Neighborhood House (https://www.hilltophouse.org/) , an early childhood development center. Robert has a decade of work experience in political campaigns, government service, and time in the private sector. In 2016, he was a TEDx (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mghPvQEfla8) speaker and discussed the importance of Millennial in the voting process. He is the former owner of a menswear retail clothing store called Rusted Oak (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZ_AfnsLR9Q).

Now in DC, Robert works in the public policy arena focusing on state issues in the domain of commerce, insurance and economic development. In his free time, Robert is a wardrobe consultant, a CTDA (https://ctda.com/) certified custom clothier for Capitol Hill Clothiers (http://www.capitolhillclothiers.com/) and owner of Men’s Insights (https://mensinsights.com/) , a men’s lifestyle blog.
