He has been named as one of the top physicians by Atlanta Magazine, every year since 2005. In May of 2009, Dr. Scherz founded the physician group, Docs 4 Patient Care, which has subsequently become one of the most prominent physician groups in championing sensible healthcare reform. He was a featured speaker on a healthcare panel at CPAC in 2010.
