The Kingdom of Heaven deserves our attention, Yet Jesus does not pronounce that the 'hidden treasure or the 'pearl of great value' will be valued by everyone. Many, many souls will never care enough about the Kingdom of Heaven. So, for them, the Kingdom has no value at all. But for the broken and the contrite heart [Ps 51:10] the Kingdom of Heaven has more value than they could ever buy. This is the state of mind that Jesus speaks of in these parables.
The words of value in these parables denote the knowledge of faith. The Kingdom of Heaven is seen of no value by the man of the world. The secular minded man does not perceive the invaluable treasure that Christ offers.
