A Plea to Some Fathers - and Other UN-Emotional Caregivers & Valentine's Day
Listen as your host, PractiMama - a.k.a. Lee Uehara, implores fathers (and other moms and caregivers) who are uncomfortable with consoling - or hugging - their little ones.
PractiMama is considering add this new segment called, "Observations from the Playground" - catchy, isn't it? LOL. Anyway, This episode stems from a frequent observation while PractiMama is on bench duty with her fellow moms.
Showing little ones, especially boys, how to be loving and gentle in the form of hugs and kisses, is NOT a sign of weakness but rather a true mark of strength and confidence. By telling little ones - again, especially boys - to stop crying or to toughen up does the exact opposite in the long run.
In the second half of the show, PractiMama mentions those silicone molds again - for Valentine's Day!
