Henry Malton, formally of ‘Henry’s Local’ joins us in the business lounge this week. Henry was the owner and founder of popular grocery delivery service, Henrys Local, based in Whitley Bay. Henry tells us about how he started the business when he was 18 after turning down a place at the Durham University. He explains how he coped with high initial demand and the long days in order to turn his dream into reality, the challenges and struggles to make the business work logistically, and ultimately the closure of the business. Henry also discusses life after business ownership and touches on crypto investments, AI and machine learning and the world of VR.
