I don't know what it was... But I definitely DID NOT like teaching martial arts when I started.  
I was young.
I liked training.
I liked competing.
But I did not enjoy teaching. AT ALL!

But it took one moment.  One interaction.  One exchange with a student for me to realize why I actually enjoyed teaching. And then became good at it.
