Hungary’s Kektura is Europe’s oldest long-distance trail.  The Kektura is full of adventure and interesting experiences, and it is 1100 km/700 miles long, but it has relatively easy terrain, easy logistics, and is easy on the bank account.  In other words, this may be the perfect first long-distance trail to hike in Europe.
