014. Letting Life Move Through You: Releasing Control & Returning to Presence

In this episode, I explore what it means to release control and return to presence—and why so many of us feel stuck even when we desire flow.

We often say we want ease and alignment, but underneath that desire is a subtle attachment to outcomes and a constant need to fix or solve what is happening.

This keeps us out of the moment.

The Hidden Pattern of Control

Control doesn’t always look obvious.

It can show up as:

overthinking

analyzing every experience

needing things to make sense immediately

constantly looking for what needs to be fixed

This pulls us into the mind and out of the body.

Instead of living the experience, we begin observing and judging it.

Why Attachment to Outcomes Keeps You Stuck

When we are attached to outcomes:

we measure the moment instead of living it

we leave the present and move into future projections

we disconnect from our natural flow

The more we try to control what is happening, the less we are actually in it.

Experiencing Life vs. Analyzing Life

There is a difference between:

being inside an experience

and watching it from the outside

When we are fully present, we feel, move, and respond naturally.

When we are in the mind, we:

replay the moment

create stories

spiral into “what ifs”

This is where disconnection begins.

The Spiral: How We Leave the Moment

When something unexpected happens:

the nervous system activates

the mind tries to interpret and control

we enter overthinking and emotional spirals

Instead of staying in the experience, we move into the story about it.

And that story pulls us further away from ourselves.

A Personal Experience with Letting Go

In this episode, I share a personal story about a recent trip that challenged my patterns of control and overthinking.

By allowing myself to feel the discomfort instead of trying to fix it, I was able to:

soften the spiral

reconnect with my body

open to deeper presence and joy

This experience became a portal for expansion rather than something to solve.

You Don’t Need to Fix Yourself

One of the key insights from this transmission:

You don’t need to fix yourself.

You need to be present with what is happening.

Life is not something to constantly solve—it is something to experience.

The Power of Perception

The same experience can feel completely different depending on how you relate to it.

A challenge can feel like:

something is wrong
or

something is shifting

When you shift from control to curiosity, everything changes.

From Resistance to Flow

Flow happens when you:

stop resisting what is happening

stop trying to control the outcome

allow the experience to move through you

You begin to move with life instead of against it.

When you feel stuck, pause and ask:

Am I inside this moment… or am I trying to get out of it?

This question can bring you back into your body and into presence.
