Madeline Smith is an alumna of Harvard and currently Broadway's youngest female conductor. She has worked on Sara Bareilles' musical, Waitress, among others, and Madeline's latest project is working on the electronic musical, Nikola Tesla Drops The Beat. In this episode we delve into the NYC Broadway scene, conducting and performing stories and advice, arranging and notation tips and tricks, and much more. I'd also like to give a shoutout to Char, Erik, Jimmy, and Zeek for sending in great questions for me to ask Madeline, and if you have a question you'd like me to ask future guests, send an email to [email protected]. One final thing, Madeline put together an annotated version of her Finale template which she has perfected over countless shows. If you'd like to take a look, subscribe to my mailing list at www.TheArtOfTheChase.com and then send an email to [email protected] with the phrase "Episode #015 Bonus PDF" in the subject line. Enjoy!
