In this episode I’ve invited Rajeela Shrestha. She is a film maker based in Kathmandu. She is originally from Sindhupalchowk. She has been involved in film making since 2014.

As most of film makers have a dream of being one from their childhood, it was different for Rajeela. Her dream as a child was to earn a lot of money and build a beautiful home and give her parents all that they have sacrificed for her and her sister’s education and bring her best friend [ her father ] back home from abroad and in pursuit of that dream she thought of pursuing CA career which she heard could get her one lakh per month salary and make her rich.

But fortunately just before she was about to start her CA career, she realized that is not what she was destined to be and film making fascinated her and with the support of her family and friends she got enrolled into film making college and then started her film making career.

Now she is a full time film maker and she aspires to create more context and value in Nepali Film Industry with everything she learns and she loves her life, lives humbly and full of gratitude. She is not anyway near of her childhood dream of earning a lot of money and her father continues to be abroad since he have realized Rajeela is not going to call him back anytime soon but he was the one who counseled her to follow her heart and explore what she is best at.

As her life was not happening as it was supposed to be but looking back she says everything was happening just like it was destined to be.
