Could the widespread desire to attempt another socialist experiment be rooted in something less sinister than a desire for absolute tyranny?  Maybe socialism keeps popping up because it addresses a real question.  And however badly it answers that question, it appears to be the only answer available.

Thousands of years ago an alternate solution was proposed.  Maybe it's time to stop dismissing that answer as impractical.
