The Lord is able to reach down and rescue you from any sinking condition, but His mode of operation is that He usually sends human arms and hands and/or words and wisdom as a means of rescue. The prophet Jeremiah needed all four. They came from an unlikely source: Ebed-Melech an Ethiopian eunuch in the king’s house.
