Richard holds many roles within the secondary school where he works; within each one he is consciously being a great role model for pupils.

In this conversation, he talks candidly about his experiences so far as a teacher and leader. Richard discusses the importance  of the black curriculum and the significance of educators having an awareness of cultural differences.

He represents a voice that is often misinterpreted and gives and small insight into the daily responsibilities a black male teacher has to consider when working within a school.
