While I was going through my first relationship breakup, I started seeing my first therapist - Dr. Pierre Steenberg. He was the first to introduce to me these 4 pillars of a healthy, long-term partnership. As I studied to become a therapist and started seeing the same kind of research, I realized he was on to something. In my own relationships I saw how the breakdown of these qualities within the relationship, led to the breakdown of trust, intimacy, respect. I also started to see how important it was to do the inner work of healing, so I could give my future relationship a better chance of surviving and thriving.
