In light of recent technical issues, (I.E.: Holly's computer ran out of disk space mid-recording and didn't bother to tell anybody until time to edit and post.) the Ladies decided to post a throwback episode. This here is one of the trial episodes they recorded while figuring out all this podcasting ish.
Forgive the rough audio and learning curve, but please enjoy. This is one of the favorite episodes of the ladies. It taught them about research, editing, and how to drive a convo and talk to each other no matter what.
IN THIS EPISODE, the Ladies talk about racism, discrimination, and how the two show themselves. They get into dealing with fools, forgiving YouTubers, and having mercy... and Donna explains a slur. They've got: the Holy Spirit, spiritual submission, justice, Republicans, dating douchebags, counseling, being the bigger person, gluten, and cultural Christianity. Tears, laughter, rough cuts, lots of Jesus, and much love.
A NOTE FROM BOTH LADIES: It's super encouraging to listen back and hear how much we've grown as thinkers and communicators since "Method Theology"'s inception. We really hope y'all love this episode as much as we do.
A NOTE FROM HOLLY: Y'all'll get this about 2/3rds of the way through the cast; it turns out that soy and wheat are often grown in the same fields at alternate times, and since they share the same soil and space, there's so much cross contamination that it makes soy products unsafe for severe Celiacs unless the soy used has been grown in a wheat-free field. SO I WAS RIGHT. Sort of.
Verses from this week:
Proverbs 26:4
Proverbs 9:8
Proverbs 23:9
Philippians 4:8
The original topic for this week was "Gender and Sexuality" and the Ladies are super stoked to re-record for next week.
