We’re back at it after a week in San Antonio where we got to take a hard look at our businesses and hang out with a great group of people. We planned on bringing you an interview this week with a nine-figure hedge fund manager, however, that file got corrupted, so you’re stuck with us today.
We had also hoped to make a big announcement this week, something we’ve been teasing for a few weeks now, but as things go, we’re saving it for next week as we prepare to be up in Newark for the Note Worthy East Conference.
Big thanks, and shout out, to Sonja-Reneis Pope for writing to us in support of the podcast and our upcoming announcement.
A big part of the week in San Antonio was the SWOT analysis we did of our individual business. Though we both felt like we had just done this review a few months ago, the refresher was very valuable.
This is something we think all of our listeners should take the time to do for their own business.
One of Robby’s biggest takeaways as a threat to his business is continuing to spend time doing any activity that doesn’t generate profit. Thankfully Stacey is on board now to help out with a variety of tasks that were previously distracting him from income producing activities.
Chase highlights the importance of owning your time by paying yourself with the first hour of your day.
In regards to Chase’s presentation on marketing during our Mastermind group, he did “Crush It!”, so listen up as he gives you a few golden nuggets of marketing information to help you target your audience.
"What gets measured, gets managed."
RiteTag is one of Chase’s tools for properly using hashtags within your social media. Yes, those hashtags, as in #NoteMBA. Though we disagree on the use of #NoteMBA, we both make a great argument regarding the appropriate use of hashtags.
Chase is also a big fan of Lynda.com when it comes to a source to educate yourself on a variety of topics from Excel to improving your usage of LinkedIn. Check it out!
Last but not least, one of Chase’s favorite resources for time management evaluation is called Rescue Time. You can download it to either your PC or Mac and have your daily activities tracked.
You’ll then be provided with an evaluation of your time usage measuring your productivity on a five-point scale.
We end on a note regarding empowerment and letting go of more and more things as Robby gets Stacey up and running within his business.
As always send you questions to [email protected].
Thanks for listening to our show! We’ll be back next Wednesday morning.
Cheers,
Chase & Robby
