Andrew Zuckerman studied Computer Science at Harvard, where he co-founded the Undergraduate Science of Psychedelics Club. During his time at college, he also ran a YouTube channel, which amassed over 3.8 million views across 18 self-produced videos. He previously interned at Bridgewater Associates, and is now the Executive Director of the Qualia Research Institute (QRI).
The Qualia Research Institute is a nonprofit research group studying consciousness in a consistent, meaningful, and rigorous way. Their projects include Principia Qualia, the first framework for modelling consciousness, and the Symmetry Theory of Valence, a way of quantifying bliss. The QRI is supported by alumni from leading scientific organisations, such as OpenAI, DeepMind and Imperial College London.
