What is self-sabotage? It is when you hurt yourself or hold yourself back from reaching your full potential or reaching the next level of happiness or success that we desire in life.
Self sabotage is something we might not be aware of, or it could be something we are aware of but we still do it because the pull is too strong. Schmitty comes with some really good arguments and convinces you to veer off the path to success.
Why do we sabotage ourselves?
The foundation of why is the idea of comfort. Humans love comfort. We like to stay in this safe zone that we know, that isn’t unpredictable, it’s cozy and it helps us when we feel anxious, angry, overwhelmed, etc..
So you go back to those old bad habits because they comfort you. But this doesn’t allow you to break through to the next level of happiness and success.
In our lives we are happiness we are comfortable with and if when we reach a higher level of happiness we become uncomfortable and we sabotage ourselves to go back to the level of happiness we are comfortable.
