1889 forming of Osaka Brewing company based on German brewing techniques for Japanese tastes.1892 Asahi beer launched.

1949 becomes Asahi breweries ltd through acquisitions to become a comprehensive beverages brand.

Innovative - 1958 launch first canned beer in Japan & 1965 first pull tab can launched & 1971 first aluminium canned beer (distinctive can)

2003 expanded into foods

2016 acquired SAB Miller’s EU business including Birra Peroni, Grolsch & Meantime brewing.
