Leaving her island home of Reunion, Tanya Tavares packed her bags full of dreams and determination.  Greeted by the cold and dreary coast of Normandy, she discovered weather affects people. Without the warmth of family and a proper winter coat, doubt crept in.  But then armed with her mother’s fighting spirit, she "kicked-ass' in a highly competitive business school and earned her place on a leadership track in the corporate world.  Join us as Tanya describes her journey nurturing and navigating new relationships in her personal and professional worlds as an accomplished black woman seeking a sense of community and belonging.  And true to form, when it doesn’t exist, she has digs into her bag of dreams and determination, and makes it happen!
