March 19th, 1919. The day jazz rocked through the city of New Orleans from dawn until dusk. From 1918-1919, residents lived in fear of a serial killer known only as "The Axeman". Exclusively attacking at night, he only struck while his victims were asleep in their beds. Never using his own tools, only those on hand in the victim's household, the murder weapon was usually an axe, which he left behind. Despite attempts from the police, he was never caught.
