The show starts with a 9yr girl (Beau's daughter) offering a flat earth debunking thought experiment.

1. One of the 1st things we discussed was simply dropping and object anywhere in the world proves the earth is round because the object falls in a straight line down to the ground.  If the Earth was flat, this would not happen as gravity pulls things to the center.

3. Below is a picture of the United Nation's Flag.  The conspiracy theory is that this "hidden in plain sight" image represents how the global elite know the Earth is "really" flat.  See how the UN has used the Azimuthal Map?  Why did they take out the ice wall?

4. Here is a link that goes into detail about the Bedford Level Experiment.  This was the controversial experiment that was one of the 1st debunking of flat earth theory.

5. Here is the link to a foam ball soaked in water and spun in the air.  This is supposed to prove that if the Earth was round and spinning that we would all fly off.   As we discuss in the podcast it this is not accurate because of relative speed, centrifugal force and gravity. The earth does spin fast, but it only spins around once a day, not 1000s of time a day.  So the "relative" speed is not enough to generate the amount of centrifugal force to overcome gravity and sling everything off of the surface.   Sorry flat earthers!  The videos are cool though...

5.1 Here's a fun picture of the type of playground merry-go-round we talked about.  Imagine it slowly turning at one revolution per 24 hours. You would barely notice it moving.  :)

6. Here is a link to a great website that shows how tracking simple flights shows that the Earth cannot be flat.  Observable flight durations would be twice as long if the Azimuthal flat earth were a reality.

6.1 The flights shown below take the same time in reality.  As you can see on the flat map, the distance is almost double.  The longer flight would have to be supersonic (which no commercial airliner can achieve) to arrive in the same duration.
