Dr. Hawraa Al-Hassan is Research Associate at the Centre of Islamic Studies at the University of Cambridge.  In this episode, Hawraa talks to us about her book, 'Women, Writing and the Iraqi Ba‘thist State.' We talk about life in Saudi Arabia, marginalized voices in literature, and how Arab nationalist Ba'th party was instrumental in shaping literature by Iraqi women.
