Mark Wong joins to share about Occutrack. Occutrack is a medical start-up developing an eye movement tracking system for remote monitoring of Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD). Building on intellectual property for vision assessment developed at the Institute for Infocomm Research (I2R) and licensed from A*STAR, Occutrack has developed an AI based eye tracking platform that can be deployed on standard laptop and tablet computers. This allows for at home testing, reducing clinic visits and increasing testing compliance for those suffering from AMD.

Occutrack is developing this as a MedTech Class 1 device. There is a medical diagnostic outcome which guides clinical decisions from its use. Occutrack is currently planning for multi-site trials for FDA clearance for AMD. The core vision assessment technology could be pivoted to additional diagnostics, each requiring its own trials and clearance.
