In 2020, my husband and I packed up all our stuff, put it in storage, and set out on a year of nomadic travel. Those plans were derailed pretty quickly due to COVID so we decided to settle down in Boise, Idaho, but we’re still taking the year off work. I’ve already learned a lot from this time I’ve been given. I’m sharing an unexpected challenge, why I felt like I needed this experience, what I wish I knew going into this year, and my plans for the next 6 months.
