MODULE DESCRIPTION
In this follow up to the course's most listened-to module, we've employed AIRA (Artificially Intelligent Research Assistant) - the Bing Copilot - to interview the speaker from the tedfloore talk, G - Chat GPT. AIRA asks questions connecting other science fiction characters, including both Baymax and HAL 9000, and the role of empathy or lack thereof in A M, and best practices for AI development and deployment. Near the end, the A3RATERS ethical framework is used to evaluate the ethics of the malevolent and violently vengeful Allied Mastercomputer to identify gaps in modern day model development that could lead to disasters like that in Harlan Ellison's "I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream."
MODULE PURPOSE
The purpose of this module is to foster critical thinking and ethical awareness in the context of AI technology. By exploring the ethical dimensions of AI through science fiction narratives, participants will gain insights into the complex interplay between technology, society, and human values. The module aims to equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to engage in informed discussions about AI ethics and contribute to the responsible development and use of AI technology in the future.
