Finding Joy When Life Beats You Up
Carol takes you through her personal journey of losing five precious babies, suffering from clinical depression, to finding joy in the most difficult of circumstances. During this period of time Carol developed an addiction -- her addiction was reading the Word of God. In the Word, Carol found her joy and she continues to help millions of women today find their joy even when life beats you up.
Carol talks about the story of Ruth & Naomi found in Ruth 1. Naomi (delight, pleasant) asked for her name to be changed to Mara, which meant bitter. Naomi changed her identity based on her circumstances & disappointments in life. We should NEVER do that. As Christians, we need to stay true to who we are created to be. Remember that kindness ushers Jesus into your story. Kindness takes the Carol's, the Robbie's, the Keri's and uses us as the history makers in God's book of life. With the pandemic, the election, the media, politicians, and racism, let us be the kindest women of our generation. The people that need it the most are the Mara's.
