Are you trying to close your prospects too early? In the coaching world, the sales process often looks like this: cold prospects sign up for a free webinar after being invited via a Facebook ad or through a landing page. After they’ve viewed the webinar, they’re encouraged to sign up for a call. While a prospect may view this call as a low-pressure opportunity to just get more info about a product, the call is more often than not with a salesperson who’s looking to close. The problem with this sequence? The lead is still WAY too early in the sales funnel for a pitch!
