At first glance, the book of Leviticus reads like a long list of prohibitions and commandments, some seem relevant to today, others arcane and bewildering.  Taken as a whole, we can see the writer of Leviticus is on a quest for holiness, exploring what it means for a community to be set apart by God–leaving no area of personal or communal life untouched.  Pastor Nancy’s sermon calls us to see holiness in our interactions with one another, as we are living out a community ethic based upon love.
