The Spoon’s publisher, Michael Wolf joins host Penny Rosema as they discuss interesting advances happening in terms of technology coming into the kitchen.

An acceleration of online shopping experience and services were realized due to Covid-19. Individuals who would have never considered using online technology to order groceries have found themselves learning the process out of necessity.

Other trends Michael shares are personalization around nutrition and food storage systems to help with the reduction of food waste.

Michael is also the founder of the Smart Kitchen Summit. It started in 2015 to focus on food technology and how it’s incorporated in the kitchen. He had an overwhelming feeling that there would be a large-scale reinvention in the way we cook. To help be a catalyst in the innovation, he felt it was a good idea to bring people together to talk about it. Partnerships and ideas have evolved through the event over the years.
