So here is the thing. YOU are their parent for a reason. They are your child for a reason. YOU are meant to parent according to your strengths and personality. Yes it is valuable to have some knowledge about children, some mentors who guide you, some people you follow who you jive and connect with. YOU ARE THE EXPERT ON YOUR CHILD. You have the intuition, love and emotions to guide you. I also am a woman of faith and believe that God knows this child better than I do, that these children are on loan from him and that I can gain inspiration as I listen and rely on him. Whether you are a person of faith or not, I still believe there is a power in the universe you can gain inspiration and guidance from.
I remember when I took a course on creating a business, the teacher said to not collect coaches. To really find those who spoke to me, and get rid of some of the noise. Maybe if you’re having a hard time finding answers for your child, there’s too much noise in your mind. Maybe you need to get quiet, tune into that inspiration, focus on your relationship with your child and take things a step at a time. Sometimes when theres so many voices and so many conflicting experts it doesn’t allow us to tune into ourselves.
