In churches around the world the Lord’s prayer is introduced with words close to these, “As our Savior Christ has taught us, we are bold to say…Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.” Why would we need boldness to pray a prayer, so common in Christian worship, known and beloved by untold numbers?
