Nancy has a conversation with her longtime friend, Carla Hartman, about her experience with having her child come out to her as trans. Through his coming out to her, Carla then had to navigate her own coming out to friends and family as having a trans child. During this journey, Carla’s found a way to become an advocate for her child, as well as learning how to be brave in insisting on the validity of their identity.
