The M-50 Sherman was an Israeli upgrade of the United States Army M4 Sherman medium tank. It was developed in the mid-50s to keep the venerable WW2 era tank effective and able to face other contemporary vehicles of the Arab armies of neighboring states even fifteen years after its development.
