#0235: How to heal old wounds from your past

Listen Later

Transforming Old Wounds

The awareness that any pain or dis-ease in our lives is past pain resurfacing. This is known as OLD WOUNDS. We may find that we keep bringing up unresolved pain in the present until it is healed and our understanding of where it originates from is complete. This helps us to heal a painful pattern that we have within us.

When others are overreacting and not behaving well towards us, it is important to love and encourage these individuals. This can aid in healing the old wounds in their current state, providing them with the love that was lacking when the trauma began. Our current love relationships, professional relationships, and, in fact, all interactions, become possibilities for previous pain to be healed, even though it may present as a new painful issue.

Old wounds usually lead to suffering in the moment. If you adopt a healing attitude toward whatever develops in you or others, know this is an opportunity to heal the past and move forward without blaming yourself or others. You can take advantage of these opportunities for healing, which can lead to increased success, love, and confidence.

You can change your pain with your own and the Universe's support by not being afraid of it. You may see others reacting around you as in need of support, and you can respond compassionately with the understanding that not only current wounds, but old scars have resurfaced in the present.

This awareness enables you to be effective rather than reactive in relationships. You'll realise that pain is always an opportunity to mend old patterns, and you'll be inspired to heal rather than compound the problem.
