Spiritual Twenties

024: entrepreneurship, masculinity, & pivoting with Eric Morris

Listen Later

In episode 024, we had entrepreneur, chef, poet, & coach, Eric Morris. We talked about Eric's journey from being an addict and hitting rock bottom to finding the spiritual path and embracing the work to live life to the fullest. As an entrepreneur, Eric is an expert at pivoting as challenges arise. He shares with us how he was able to shift his business during COVID and donate almost 60,000 meals. We talked about masculinity and how owning your emotions and vulnerability are the real pillars of strength in a man, not being able to hide them. He shares with us two poems around his journeys of learning that it's okay to show emotions and being the life of the party.

At the end of the episode, we talked about how important it is to eat local food. Check out Eric's company Local 130 Seafood, which he founded in 2014 on the basis of giving back to the local coastal communities of the USA. As a Nation, we import roughly 90%  of our seafood, and in doing so we are turning our back on  local fishing communities.

Local 130 Seafood focuses on working  daily with American Fishermen to address this challenge and bring their product to market to connect with  consumers  across the great State New Jersey and the Mid-Atlantic. Get fresh & sustainable seafood delivered to your door at https://www.local130seafood.com and find them on Instagram @local130seafood and connect with Eric on Instagram @eatlocalfish.
