025: "Dmitri" Psilocybin Mushroom Enthusiast and Advocate

Listen Later

Welcome to the first episode of 2020! I hope everyone had a safe and fun New Year’s celebration. I have been on the East coast visiting friends and family. I got a few podcasts done with some of my oldest friends and I think it's probably some of the funniest/most entertaining content we've recorded so far. My new years eve was fun, but somehow I forgot to drink water and eat. I fucking paid for that shit….I puked FOUR times on New Year’s Day. I was finally able to drag my ass from the bed to the couch, but hangover’s north of the age of 30 are no joke. They’re also a waste of your day. Like bitch….I had shit to do today. I did learn my lesson though and stayed off the booze for the rest of the trip aside from when I got together with my boys to watch our New England Patriots lose. The rest of the football country always blows a collective load whenever the Pat’s lose. It sucks, but at the end of the day it really doesn’t affect my life. I might occasionally have to talk some shit because I rep my team behind enemy lines, but my day to day doesn’t change.
The food is always so fucking good at home too. Where I live they lack the small mom and pop owned deli’s/pizza places, so anytime I am home for a short time I eat like a fuckin pig. We ate pizza for breakfast and dinner for like 3 days straight. Since we are a few days into the new year it is probably time to get my diet back in order. I was absolutely shocked by the fact that I didn’t gain any weight. If you have been putting off diet and exercise the New Year is always a great way to kick that shit off. I started working at losing weight two years ago on New Years and I was able to lose a little over 40lbs and keep it off (I did get down 55 lbs, but I gained a little back with the winter). I fucking love sugar, so that was the big thing for me to try and cut down on. My goal for this year is to continue with getting in shape and shit. It’s also been two years since I have smoked cigarettes and I attribute that directly to my use of psilocybin or “magic” mushrooms.
Now some of you might be thinking that sounds ridiculous, but it’s the truth. Mushrooms allowed me to focus deeply on quitting cigarettes. I have also significantly cut down my alcohol consumption and I attribute that to shrooms. Why am I talking about getting fucked up on psychadelics you ask? Well I’m not so don’t put words in my mouth. However, my guest who requested to remain anonymous, so we just called him “Dmitri”, is a Psilocybin enthusiast/advocate and we talk all about mushrooms.

There has started to be more of a push recently to use Magic Mushrooms to treat a myriad of different health issues including depression, cluster headaches, and anxiety. We touch a little bit on LSD and DMT as well, but I wanted to save those for another episode and focus solely on our friend the Fun Guy. Dmitri knew his shit and I was genuinely fascinated by what the dude had to say. If you are someone who is curious about mushrooms, afraid of them, or just indifferent, this podcast will help give some insight into the world of psychadelics. So strap in and learn about transcendence! This is not a podcast about Magic Mushrooms it’s the Itty Bitty Podcast and it’s anything but!
