The text of this piece is influenced and informed by the traditional text of the Agnus Dei (Lamb of God), a section of the Christian Latin Mass and the source of the text of the next Sung Prayers Podcast. However, the particular text used here emphasizes that Christ’s grace is not extended solely to the individual, nor is it extended only to one’s immediate community, but rather, Christ’s grace is extended to all the world. Another notable element to the text here is that it ends as a prayer that we might be aided in extending that grace to all whom we meet.
