Well guys and gals, this is it. After so many years of waiting and hoping for something better to hit the market, then the typical boring slabs of ugliness we face everyday when we go out into the world. Communication has become steril and generic, flat and underwhelming in its design by design actually...
The brand that startet it all, will no longer exist as a phone company. We did know this for quite some time now, but starting with 2022 Blackberry has tossed all possibilities to further license a physical keyboard phone out the window. All patents based on cellphone technology have been sold for 600 million Dollars to some company out there. Onward Mobility has recently just announced that they will officially withdraw from the project from bringing a new 5G Blackberry to Market.
Patience from die hard fans such as myself has been for nothing. I understand that we all have other problems currently, but I don't want to talk about that. This just smashes yet another nail in the already rotten coffin of a failed attempt to bring nostalgia back to people.
Because apparently nobody gives a shit but us.
As usual I will be ranting a bit once again about the old BlackBerry history, TCL doing it half right, (D)o(w)nward Mobility's inability to present anything substantial during 2021, and the fact that I honestly thought of buying myself an Iphone... But I won't.
I pull my hat to anybody who will listen all the way through.
