Nicolas Cage and Angelina Jolie in a car heist movie? How can that NOT be exciting?

 

That's what we asked ourselves going into Gone in 60 Seconds (2000). Unfortunately, we found ourselves BORED OUT OF OUR MINDS.

I mean, we hoped our first Nicolas Cage movie would be chock full of Cage insanity, but unfortunately we had to slog through this boring, lazy heist movie. Where did this film go wrong? Everything that could be a draw — Cage, Jolie, cars, car chases, shoot outs — was in short supply. Instead you get a lot of setup for an underwhelming climax. 

Directed by Dominic Sena, Gone in 60 Seconds was rated 24% on Rotten Tomatoes.
