Do you ever stare at your to-do list or your calendar at all the things you want to or need to accomplish that day but have a hard time just getting started on any of the items? Me too momma, me too! I don’t know if it’s because of getting older or just being pulled in so many different directions as a mom but even things I WANT to do are hard to get started sometimes. If I give myself too much time to sit in the resistance I often overthink the task or get farther away from starting because of the fear of wanting it to be perfect. Over the last 15 years I’ve been using this trick that helps me just get over the barrier of getting started on something which I’ve found is usually the hardest part. Once I’m started I can ease into what I’m doing and get done what I want to get done. So today I’m sharing that trick with you in hopes it will help you break through the resistance of getting started on things you want to accomplish in your day!
In this episode we talk about:
Getting started is the hardest part
Sitting in resistance leads to overthinking, fear of perfection and overwhelm
Once you get past the barrier of starting the doing gets easier
Action leads to progress
