Would you believe that in the early days of our relationship that EJ almost left Bear because of one of his old nice guy behaviours?
This behaviour was the avoidance of conflict which had been running his whole life. However, for EJ, like most women, to feel safe in the relationship she needed to know that her man had her back and would be able to face conflict and stand up for her.
So in this episode of the #THEDIK podcast we go into how the nice guy's fear of conflict can sabotage relationships and create a lack of safety in his partner or lover.
We then go into the specifics about how Bear's fear of conflict came up and how it created a lack of safety for EJ and led to her feeling frustrated and disconnected and on the verge of leaving the relationship. Bear shares what he discovered about his fear of conflict and the action steps he took to face it and move through it and how that then helped EJ to feel safe to stay in the relationship and ignited her desire for intimacy again!
