There are many reasons why people disregard the issue of Lashon Hara, among them are certain justifications that its "important" for this information to get out. Another deceitful tactic used is the exaggerated difficulty in living a life following the laws of proper speech.

If a person feels like certain laws are too restrictive and burdensome it means something went wrong within his understanding of Judaism since the reality is the laws are only there to enhance our quality of life.
