Having just graduated from UC Berkeley, you wouldn't guess that twenty-two-year-old Ismael Chamu, and the rest of his siblings and parents were just recently living together in a tiny camper trailer with no heat and no sewer hookups. Ismael is the son of a migrant worker from Mexico, and is the first in his family to not only attend college, but to graduate from high school. In this interview, he talks about not having a secure place to live nor having enough food to eat while he attended college. Now, his goal is to continue with his education, obtain a graduate degree, and somehow help with the college student housing crisis in the future. This is Ismael's story...
