Hey Change Maker!  My guest this week is Nancy Knapp of Joyya, formerly Freeset.

 

ABOUT NANCY:

Nancy Knapp is the head of global sales and marketing for Joyya,   Nancy has been involved since 2013 when she first visited Joyya's communities in Kolkata and her heart was called to get involved to support the mission from her home in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA.

 

ABOUT JOYYA:

Joyya is a social enterprise which produces fair trade t-shirts, bags and accessories for export around the world from some of the toughest communities in Kolkata, India.  Joyya operates in communities which are plagued by extreme poverty and human trafficking and seeks to be a catalyst for community and life transformation there.  

 

In addition to the business, Joyya also has a social arm called Joyya Collective which adds support in the areas of healthcare, legal, education, development, childcare and finance. This is the foundation arm- or where donations go to support our communities needs. 

 

A third arm is called Joyya Neighbors which engages directly with our neighbors to listen and learn exactly what each community needs and wants vs. just guessing or imposing.
